A young woman, Christine or Cher as she is called by her friend Pete, works two jobs, one, as a sales clerk in a wine store, and the other as helping Pete, an established private detective. Pete suffered a stroke in the past, which slowed him down so she provides youthful energy and muscles while Pete teaches her whatever lessons he can in persistence, instinct, and experience.
