Each volume reviewed gives an introduction to the topic, followed by experiments to prove hypotheses. The scientific method of reasoning and experimenting is emphasized throughout. The authors continually remind students to use the experiments as beginning points and to expand on what is written to do original research. There are colorful and useful diagrams and pictures.
