After his wife was killed two years ago in a fiery explosion, covert government agent Zachary Griffin has been searching for the criminal organization that he's certain is responsible-not only for his wife's murder, but for creating deadly viruses to be used in bioweapons. Griffin receives a tip that leads him to Amsterdam, but before he can get there the informant is murdered. The only person who can sketch the killer from a witness description is FBI special agent and forensic artist Sydney Fitzpatrick. The woman in the sketch turns out to be a dead ringer for Griffin's wife. Griffin refuses to believe she might still be alive, much less guilty of sabotage, but after the witness is also killed, he's on the run with an international warrant out for his arrest and Sydney as his only lifeline. Together they need to find out the identity of the woman and clear Griffin's name, before a new virus is smuggled into the United States just in time for a key meeting of the nations.
