Lisa Brown is a second-year student at Spelman College in Atlanta Georgia. She is studying psychology and French with a mental health concentration. She plans to achieve her doctorate and become a psychotherapist. She is a writer, singer and runner. Poetry is her primary means of expression. She is a member of the Ethel Waddel Githii Honors Program. She is also a legacy member of Jack and Jill of America. She is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honors Society as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

She serves as the Afrekete (Campus LGBTQUIA+ group) President and she is an active member of the NAACP. Lastly, she is a resident advisor and the secretary of the Spelman College chapter of Active Minds.
