John Brown is a hydrogeologist who grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Salt Lake City in 1978 to begin a career as a geologist. Since settling in the West, John has pursued his work in geology, while leading friends and family on many adventures including mountaineering, motorcycling and bicycling in southern Utah, river canoeing and rafting. John also has spent his career cleaning up hazardous waste sites and restoring the environment and discovering new sources of drinking water.
