Charlie Brooker has worked as a writer, journalist, cartoonist, and television and radio presenter. In 2008 Charlie wrote and produced Dead Set, a BAFTA-nominated satirical horror drama for Channel 4. Other TV writing credits include the 11 O'Clock Show and the Brass Eye Paedophilia Special. TV Go Home, the hugely successful satirical website, became a book, a sketch show for Channel 4 and later spawned the Channel 4 cult comedy drama Nathan Barley that Charlie co-wrote with Chris Morris.Recent television credits include Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe, which won a Royal Television Society award, BAFTA-nominated Newswipe with Charlie Brooker and You Have Been Watching, a comedy quiz based on television which won him Best Newcomer at the British Comedy Awards in 2009.Charlie is well-known for his weekly columns in the Guardian, winning him The Press Awards' columnist of the year 2009.
