It explores the nature of sexual abuse, the relationship between the victim and the offender, the disclosure of abuse, the grief process, the justice system, the creation and management of support groups, and the planning of therapeutic programs for both parents and the abused. Includes contact details of help groups for parents of abused children in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and has a bibliography. The author has published widely on child protection issues.
