After returning from their grueling venture north, Morgan and Tidbit decide to leave Notch Valley in the East Mountains and return to Huckleberry Ridge in the West Mountains where they were raised. Four young Weebitty Bears from Notch Valley ask if they can go with Morgan and Tidbit to find new adventurers. Morgan and Tidbit agree. The young bears--Justin, Heather, Trevor, and Arlene--are excited and call themselves The Young Adventurers. All six bears pack their belongings and hike to Huckleberry Ridge. Morgan and Tidbit stay in Hare's Lair, and help the Young Adventurers find dens. The Young Adventurers learn many things from Morgan and Tidbit, and from their own adventurers. They have successes, failures, and disagreements.
They have happy times and sad times. But they always pull together to help each other through their problems. They learn how to survive and enjoy the rugged West Mountains.
