In ancient times, sailors were afraid of women who whistled because they believed that the women would whistle up a storm. Anna Marie Golding has been discouraged from whistling all of her life, but now in her early sixties and widowed for three years, she begins to whistle again. Tired of grieving for her beloved husband, Anna Marie spontaneously buys a Southwind motor home. She sets out for the journey of her life with her faithful pug companion in spite of her family’s disgust with her purchase. Along the way, a number of others join her including Christa, a runaway pregnant teenager, and Granny Rose who stows aboard. This is a story of learning to live again after great loss and the love and friendship that develops between these three women. It is also a story of women across the ages, demonstrating their strengths and connections to their ancient pasts.
