These poems were written during a cold spell. Winter descended and Fall suddenly ended. As a reader, you are holding in your hand poems that reflect that post-postpartum feeling reflected in the descent of a sudden cold snap. You can no longer wear a light summer coat. You have to bundle up to stay warm. The tenor of the poems is more intense and some poems are pleading with the goddess for better weather ahead. Instead, storm fronts are moving in and the warm sunshine of Indian summer is a sweet recollection. This book continues the theme begun in The Woman Who Lived on Bird Street.

With that theme in mind, poems are a continued source of grounded epistemological inquiries pertaining to inner and outer space, and the poet as artiste in exile in contemporary society.
