Self-obsessed newspaper reporter Michelle Harris thinks she is on a roll. She has landed a plum job in a small town with one of the highest crime rates per population in England. Riddled with the ravages of addiction, her patch is blighted by the scourge of drugs. Now there has been a murder. She is on the tail of murder detective Derek Gordon, determined to be first with every twist and turn in the investigation. But her shattered personal life, unprofessional conduct in the office and penchant for bad boys puts her on a collision course with the law. A black comedy.
