Sky Kings : Black Pioneers of Professional Basketball
Sky Kings tells the stories of Chuck Cooper, Nat Clifton, and Earl Lloyd, the three black players who integrated basketball in 1950. The author also relives the glories of the early black independent teams, such as the Renaissance and the Globetrotters, and profiles the black superstars of the 1950s and 1960s who paved the way for the successes of today's black pros.
