A Breath of French Air
'I SHOULD LIKE TO GO TO FRANCE, ' MA SAID. 'GOD ALMIGHTY, ' POP SAID. 'WHAT FOR?' At the end of a wet English summer, the Larkins - now numbering ten, with their new additions of a baby and a son-in-law - bundle into the Rolls and cross the Channel to escape the hostile elements. But it's far from being the balmy, sunny, and 'perfick' spot they anticipated. The tea's weak, the hotel's decrepit, and they seem to have brought the rain along with them. Then the disapproving hotel manager learns that Ma and Pop are unmarried, yet sharing a room under his roof.
