Imagine breaking the universe. That's the kind of spilled milk you definitely can cry about, since for all we know it can never gather back into the glass all by itself. But what if, sometimes, it could? The Entropy Crystal is a compilation of twenty short stories all about bending physics and navigating the multiverse. Though many of the stories are stand-alones (a gamer gains godlike powers the nearer he gets to a frozen lightning bolt, a young boy is used by the government as an energy syphon to stop a war, etc.) the main arc follows a man name Tim Landry. Tim is a synesthete who also suffers from deja vu, who purposely went the wrong way once in defiance of his own premonition. And thus broke his personal timeline, causing his personal universe to become wobbly. This wobbliness is what allows him to traverse the multiverse, often finding himself out of place as a result.
Eventually he arrives at the Entropy Crystal - a mysterious gem at the hub of the multiverse. But what he gets from it may not be what he wishes for.
