Workbook I to accompany Athenaze: An Introduction to Ancient Greek 2e contains exercises of various kinds that provide opportunities for students to review, consolidate, and test their knowledge of forms, constructions, and vocabulary. Some features of grammar are singled out for review and consolidation, and there are periodic cumulative vocabulary lists with words arranged by parts of speech, laid out in such a way that students can test themselves fromGreek to English or English to Greek. Each chapter contains at least one Greek reading passage, which expands on the content of the stories in the textbook and contains further examples of grammar and vocabulary presented in the chapter. An Answer Key at the back of the book allows students to correct their ownwork as they seek mastery of forms and vocabulary and proficiency in reading skills.
