Elaine Elisabetsky is professor at the Laboratório de Ethnofarmacologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. Saraah A. Laird is research fellow at the Rainforest Alliance, and former director of the Rainforest Alliance's Periwinkle Project.
