CHRIS BAKER is a writer, educator, and mycophile, and founder of Chicory Naturalist, a company that seeks to reconnect broken chains of generational knowledge about the natural world and the species with whom we share our daily lives. Chicory Naturalist hosts workshops, classes, markets, and free community events in the Hudson Valley. Baker has an M.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and professional experience in the culinary, arts, and agricultural fields. She is a passionate lifelong learner and a strong believer that knowledge is meaningful only to the extent it is shared. She lives amidst the beautiful biodiversity of the Hudson Valley with her family. ALEXANDRA FINKELDEY is an illustrator based in Ottawa, Canada.
Her first picture book, True Stories of Animal Heroes: Talala by Vita Murrow, was published by the Quarto Group in the UK in 2021.
