In the years after the original series of Star Trek was cancelled, and before the various TV follow-ups and films were produced was a time when a loyal cadre of Star Trek fans kept the dream alive and persistently petitioned the producers, studios, cast and everyone else involved to bring back the beloved show. This they did largely by hosting and attending conventions, all over the world, and drawing thousands upon thousands of fans. Texas was no exception, and this is part of that story.
