The Cartographer's Melancholy : Poems
David Axelrod has published eight collections of poems and a collection of non-fiction, Troubled Intimacies. He teaches at Eastern Oregon University, where he directs the Ars Poetica Lecture Series and edits-along with Jodi Varon-the award-winning basalt: a journal of fine and literary arts. He has been recipient of fellowships from Oregon Literary Arts, and is winner of the Carolyn Kizer and Kay Deeter Poetry Awards, and his work has appeared widely in journals, including Alaska Quarterly Review, Boulevard, Kenyon Review, Quarterly West, and many others.
