Katherine Anderson grew up in Issaquah, Washington surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She earned a Masters in Teaching at the University of Washington, and worked at Seattle's famous Pacific Science Center for six years specializing in programs for young scientists ages 2-6 years old. She loves working with children and exploring the world through their eyes; she believes that children are inherent scientists.Her goal is to create beautiful picture books for young readers that bring joyful visibility to underrepresented groups in both science and children's literature.She currently resides in Seattle, Washington with her spouse, Byram. Her favorite animal is an orca.
