As soon as the Civil War was over Carpetbaggers from the north covered the southern states like a swarm of locust.Texas was to receive the most of these outcast predators who had come to the Lone Star State with great sums of money that they had stolen, robbed banks, businesses as well as taken from individuals.An ex Texas Ranger that was known as Just Bill received a letter asking of his help in Coleman County, Texas. The letter stated that a carpetbagger was taking all of the property that he could with the aid of a self appointed tax collector and assessor. The carpetbagger had a double wagon load of hired killers and was taking over all of the county.Bill was a pure true Texan that believed in law and order. He left his business of training horses, saddled up and headed for a friend in Coleman County that he owed a big favor to. Bill finds out that there is more than one problem there with a lady that was involved.
