Aeschylus tells the story of the sons of Oedipus, the disgraced king of Thebes. The brothers Eteocles and Polynices attempt to share power over the city, but their rivalry tears the siblings and the city apart. The Seven Against Thebes was the final part of a trilogy Aeschylus wrote on the Oedipal saga.
