Maybe you are in a place right now where hope has fled and there is no vision for what is up ahead. I was in that place, a most unlikely circumstance--encountering severe problems with my son Christian's tactility, speech, and vision. It was while providing passive exercises to my autistic son (which he did not accept, agree, or cooperate with at times) that I recognized that so much in my life--instruction, guidance, and many opportunities--were passive input. Like my son, I had no concept or idea how I was being affected by many choices and experiences. There are many things that can affect our soul and spirit that will affect our life--similar to a tear affecting an area in the brain.
