The Black Sequin Dress
One in Currency's 'Current Theatre' series, this is an Australian play published with the program inserted and sold during theatre seasons. The play was first produced at the Adelaide Festival, on 5 March, 1996 and explores the premise that an ordinary action can have extraordinary resonances. It is the story of a woman in the black sequin dress who leaves her children at home for an evening in the nightclub. In a moment of indecision she looks back, slips and falls into a surreal world.
