Joey Chou was born in Taiwan and moved to California in his teens. There he received his BFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He has worked as an illustrator for animated films and has also illustrated a number of picture books, including Monster & Son by David LaRochelle, It's a Small World by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, Say What? by Angela DiTerlizzi, and the B. Bear and Lolly series by A. A. Livingston.
