HOCKEY CANADA is the national governing body for grassroots hockey in Canada. The organization works in conjunction with the 13 provincial branches, the Canadian Hockey League and a number of associate member organizations in growing the game at all levels. Hockey Canada oversees the management of programs in Canada from entry-level to high performance teams and competitions, including world championships and the Olympic Winter Games. Hockey Canada is also Canada's voice within the International Ice Hockey Federation. OUR MISSION STATEMENT IS: "Lead, Develop, and Promote Positive Hockey Experiences." Lorna Schultz Nicholson grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario, and as a child loved to read and write. But then athletics took over and she put it all aside to be a jock.
She holds a B Sc. in Human Performance from the University of Victoria and has worked as a Fitness and Recreation Co-ordinator at UVic where she also coached rowing. Lorna has worked in media and broadcasting and is currently a full-time author, having published over twenty books. She and her husband Bob live in Calgary, Alberta. Both are avid hockey fans! Kelly Findley is a longtime graphic designer for Hockey Canada - the largest National Sports Organization in Canada. Prior to working at Hockey Canada, he worked as both an in-house designer with a variety of different companies and for an advertising agency.
