Just as you arrive at an island wedding a murder mystery breaks out. Every year, someone on the Isle of Man organises a game for a select group of residents. One year it's a treasure hunt?the next a murder mystery. It alternates as harmless fun. A game not unlike Cluedo or How to Host a Murder, or similar, played out in real life. It traditionally happens between Christmas and New Year, in the dead of winter, when activities are limited to the indoors. It's a cold and dull time, so nothing livens up the island like a good scandal?real or imagined. There has been a pretend murder after all?what's not to be excited about.
